Course Description

Organizing instruction for appropriate use of a variety of technologies for teaching mathematics. Three semester hours.

A calculator is strongly recommended for this course.


Objectives

  1. To introduce students to a variety of technologies appropriate for teaching mathematics

  2. To examine the use of technology in teaching mathematics.

  3. To examine the research basis of technology usage in teaching mathematics.

Course Outline

This course covers a variety of technologies including dynamic geometry programs, graphics calculators, computer algebra systems, hand held data collection devices, and other technologies as available.
